ARABIC LANGUAGE

Students have spent time admiring the style of Arabic Calligraphic. They were given the opportunity to learn this style of writing as an art form. They’ve looked at different practical resources of calligraphic like other samples, watching videos, pictures of how to do the writing, and viewed the special pen used only for this. When they went to the museum in Melbourne, they saw and felt the different writing formations inside the Mahrab.

Students have enjoyed all the hands on activities - especially using calligraphy for their names or their parent’s names. Some students thought this would be a great gift for Mother’s Day!

The year 1’s and 2’s are learning the Arabic colors and numbers with many hands on activities, like cutting and pasting the numbers. Students have enjoyed playing different games such as matching colors and counting to ten.

It has been a fantastic term of learning Arabic and the students are becoming proficient and enjoying themselves.

Enjoy your holiday,
